Customizing Icons
In addition to changing your desktop background and your dock, there are a couple of other ways you can customize your desktop. One way is how you view the icons. So, let’s add a few more icons to the desktop. Ok, now go to the view menu in the finder, then click on show view options. This new window appears with some choices for you. This first slider is for the size of the icons. You can make the icons appear really big or really small depending on your preference. The grid spacing refers to how close or far apart the icons appear. You can change the text size. You can display the info about each icon. You can select whether or not you’d like to show the icon previews. You can also experiment with the arrangement of the icons. There is one other thing I want to show you. Let’s say that you have a bunch of icons all scattered around on your desktop. A really easy way to organize them is to the view menu again and choose clean up and it will organize them for you, then you can select arrange by for further organizing!
